Discover the Origin will be displaying a whole range of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheeses, Parma Hams, Burgundy wines, Douro wines and Ports at the York Food Festival from 16th-18th September. Discover the Origin will be at another Foodies Festival this month, at Battersea Park in London during the final weekend of July. We will be there with 3 ages of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, 2 legs of aged Parma Ham and various bottles of Douro, Burgundy and Port wines. Best of all, we'll be holding masterclasses throughout the 3 days with our wine expert Charles Metcalfe and cooking demonstrations with high-profile chef Katie Caldesi. It's a perfect opportunity to learn about, sample and savour European protected designation of origin products!
DTO will be running a masterclass in conjunction with Chef magazine which will cover all five of the protected designation of origin status DTO products. World renowned chef, Daniel Galmiche will be on hand as our food expert. This is aimed at chefs and will be held at The Vineyard, Stockcross on 22 August. Discover the Origin's stand at BBC Good Food show at the NEC in Birmingham went down a real treat. We sampled 3 ages of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese, 2 ages of Parma Ham and a whole array of Douro valley wines, Burgundy wines and Ports to well over 10,000 people. Food and wine matching masterclasses were also held twice daily by our experts Susy Atkins and Christina Pickard in the VIP section. A jam packed weekend full of gastronomy was had by all!
Get down to Taste of London at Regents Park (16-19th June) or to the BBC Good Food show at the Birmingham NEC (15th - 19th June) and visit Discover the Origin at their substantial stalls at both.
